Spencer County FCCLA- Youth In Action Team

The Spencer County High School Family Career and Community Leaders of America has led the way for many other FCCLA groups and other youth organizations to get involved in the effort to prevent underage drinking. They have supported statewide efforts like Tie One for Safety and Alco-pops Awareness. The group has partnered with the media, local EMT and law enforcement, government officials, alcohol retailers in multiple counties, local restaurants, their high school, and parents living in Taylorsville and Shelbyville. This group realizes underage drinking doesn't just stop at the county line, and taken steps to make Kentucky a healthier and safer place for young people to grow up.
